Getting Started

The Loveland Geographic Information / Cartographic (LOGIC) System enables you to explore a map of the Loveland area and find information useful to you.

How it works

The LOGIC system page has three main parts:
  • Task Panels on the left side of the page enable you to quickly find information and interact the map data. Click on the blue title bar to open the panel.
    Available panels include:
    • Find an Address - this panel is used to look up known addresses. You can enter an address number, a street name or a combination of both. Entering an address number and clicking the Submit button will generate a drop-down list of all address starting with that number.
    • Parks - this panel provides quick links to Loveland's Parks. Simply select a park and the map will zoom to the selected park. In addition, specific information about the park will be noted in the general information panel at the bottom left portion of the window.
    • Golf Courses - similar to the Parks Panel discussed above, clicking on the bar labeled “Golf Courses” on the left side of the window will open a list of golf courses. Simply select a golf course and the map will zoom to the selected golf course. In addition, specific information about the course will be noted in the general information panel at the bottom left portion of the window.
    • Government Facilities Panel - clicking on the bar labeled “Government Facilities” on the left side of the window will open a list of City of Loveland, Larimer County and Thompson School District facilities. Simply select a facility on the list and the map will zoom to the selected facility.

You can hide and then show the Panels as needed. Click the gray arrow just to the left of the map to hide the Panels. Click the arrow (which now points to the right) again to show the Panels.

You can resize the area used by the Console by clicking and dragging the divider between the Console and the Map. This allows more room to view either area as you work.

  • A Toolbar for interacting with the map.
  • The Map - the main part of the page is the map display. You can move around on the map using either your mouse or keyboard.
